"Hi riders, Well you really missed a really nice grassroots MTB XC race, put on by a really good promoter Robert Herber.  Very tough and demanding 6 mile course.  I was really hoping to get a better response to have more then just me to do the XC race.  Listen if we "As riders/racers" do not support event like his race series. Event series like this will disappear, just like the Sagebrush safari out at Lake Morena did after the fires of 2003. They moved up to Santa Barbara, and this race series is the only one in the area.  So Come on and race put your skills and trng to the test, either do the XC race or DH, or Super D. The next race is 29 November, plenty of time to plan for the race and shuffle some family thing for 6hrs, you will be back by noon that saturday.  I saw more DH and Super D riders at the practice on saturday then I saw XC Racers racing. I am going with or without you, I did well, and want to do the whole series. I rearrange my work schedule to race, so cut those apron strings and go race.  This is also a great place to camp???" Scott B. DeLaurentis AKA Dino

"Robert, very fun race - thanks for putting it on.  I might suggest that next time the pros (and experts?) do four laps to make the race closer to the 1:50-2 hr mark.  If my schedule allows, I will definitely be out for the next two races. Cheers," -Chris Crosby
